A case for the installer that doesn't install DE/WM

This is just a proposal of what I see as a perfectly balanced installer.

1. Current state

Current 'graphical' installers, that are using calamares, are near perfect. They are so convenient that even if I don't use any of the supported DE's, I always grab openrc/XFCE, install the OS and then downgrade/remove all that I don't need. Even with needing to remove a lot it is dang more convenient that going trough step by step install in wiki.

However with the rise of wayland this all becomes too bulky, number of packages that need removal is huge, and some steps require untangling dependencies.

2. What if / is that possible

Add one more step/checkbox to calamares, to ask if it should actually install xorg and chosen DE? If unchecked install could stop just before "Post install configuration" as defined in wiki, that way keeping all the basics installed but not X and DE. Is this something devs could consider?

Stay tuned for an official upcoming announcement for our new netinstall iso.

Some by now outdated development screenshots.

It does look good indeed, and I too appreciate  all the effort that goes into this distro.

Thank you!
