What other linux OS's you use besides artix?

I am thinking of devuan, or debian. Can't decide. You know just for if everything goes bad.

Btw, what if you artix devs unify power with devuan devs, wouldn't it be cool? They are non systemd too.

Btw, lastly I heard that debian devs thought about systemd, that they think they will explore other inits aswell. What do you think about it? Maybe archlinux devs would think something like that in future? So what will happen then?

Hi, just to name a few of the many reasons....

nonsystemd does not mean that all distros are under the same concept.

Devuan and Artix are two completely different distributions.

Devuan's development model is based on Debian's - LTS, while we are rolling.

We use using a completely different package manager, different package names, different number of packages, and different init systems (iirc Devuan still uses sysVinit, while OpenRC is optional and Runit is not actually there yet, while we use OpenRC, Runit and s6)

We are a different community, with different mentality.

In simple terms, nope, imho.

I have another partition with Devuan on it, for testing and emergencies - it runs without trouble although needed some tweaking to make it work initially. AntiX should work out of the box for a similar effect, it's kind of Devuan set up properly for desktop rather than server use. I don't see any advantage in Debian over Devuan from using Debian in the past.
The Linux and opensource community in general does work together - that's what open source is, I thought. They just work on different projects. The packages that make up an Artix OS originate from many distros and their users, when you trace them back.

Yes, the opensource community cooperates, on common fields

You could add MX Linux then too.

The opensource devs cooperate when are it concerns fields in common, but not as distros (projects)

I use Voidlinux, because of musl option and mostly because libressl is used by default.

If you just want to have a backup system, you can install artix twice, with different init maybe, or DE or both. One advantage is that you won't have to download the same packages twice and you can share the configuration of your most used programs by making a few simlinks.

Mostly Artix as it just works and works very well.  I have FreeBSD running as a server on raspberry pi and I might try out Gentoo once in a while as I've used it since it first came out a few decades ago (has it been that long?)  Gentoo was how I learned about systemD and why it's so horrifyingly bad.
