SOLVED: forum profile problem

I tried to modify my forum profile (changed location to London) and get a message

 how can I fill in my details?

Have you tried to refresh and retry? I too get that message some times, but refreshing the page solves it.

yes I tried various changes eg closing browser. At one point I logged out and found I got messages about too many retries. I cleared my browser cache and was able to log back in. Still could not update the profile though.

After a couple of hours I tried again and this time it worked. No idea what is changed.

Anyway I can regard this as solved
