Problem after updating official artix-cinnamon-runi

Hello, I'm new to artix (1 year on linux mint)
installed artix official ISO images artix-cinnamon-runit-20220713
on QUEM-KVM, everything is OK. Artix is very responsive, perfect fit
for my weak DELL laptop, I want to test artix
on quem-kvm and then install on a DELL laptop (RAM-3Gb)

Decided to update the system sudo pacman -Syu
full system update received files + 2.5 Gb
after the update, most of the applications stopped opening
such as THEME GENERAL SETTINGS APPLETS etc.
The Internet works, the browser and several applications are the same.

I can’t give download data from the terminal because I deleted the system image
Reinstalled but haven't updated yet.

Perhaps the problem can be solved at this stage of the information provided.

If this issue cannot be resolved, then I will try to update the system again and
give more detailed data from the terminal about the progress of the update.

I tried to install the same weekly iso images artix-cinnamon-runit-20230206
when installing the system requires authentication when I click the INSTALL ARTIX icon
i tried entering the password artix (correct or not?)

I apologize if the text is displayed incorrectly (I'm not a native English speaker)

Tell me the script of my actions, so as not to repeat what happened again ...

Hi Ghost - quick question, after the install you talk of most of the apps stopped working after you did a system update (that was large, 2.5  huge, larger than the initial iso at 1.3, unless that was the install, not download size), so the question is: after the initial install, did you add apps before doing a system update?  And after doing the update, has the computer been restarted too?

hi again, I've just installed this from the same .iso, and all is working fine (themes/.applets etc).   Basically, after initial install, reboot (as per the screen that prompts you to) BEFORE updating, then update it and reboot again. I'm figuring either it wasn't rebooted before updating after the initial install, and/or it wasn't subsequently rebooted after the first update was done.
