Yah I'm not sure what could have gone wrong.  All my bluetooth stuff is up to date and my controller works fine.  In blueman there is an option checkbox when you rightclick the device for "Audio and input profiles".  Maybe that got disabled somehow?  Not even sure if that's necessary but just an idea.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

This was an upstream bug. I've included the upstream patch in bluez 5.73-4 so hopefully it works now.

@Dudemanguy
Dude,I believe the latest bluez-5.73-4 has something went wrong! It has an install size of 0.20 MB while on arch repo it should have installed 1.5 MB. After updating the package , I can't find dir /usr/lib/bluetooth on my disk. I have to pacman -U and manually downgrade it. Have you guys noticed it?
As a newbie to Artix, don't know if there is a proper place to give direct feedback to a package.Help,plz.

@Dudemanguy Can you revert bluez to 5.73-3, the last version is missing the bluetooth daemon completely.

Sorry that was my bad. I accidentally deleted an important line. Should be fixed now for real.

Thank you for the updates.  I'm updating now.  Hopefully in the future i'll be more patient with responses from people who are confusing but mean well.  I truly do hate computers but such is the world we live in.  My apologies @notabot‍  for my impatience.  @Dudemanguy  i appreciate you!  TY.  I figured it had to be a bug but i couldnt find it on websearch.  every post i found was a few years old.

so it's the old 'That would be really weird since we haven't change much, well except that we changed to use uhid by default:" switcheroo eh.  well glad to see i wasnt the only one!  so it wasnt really eating the brains in my controller.  thats good to know!

ok so it worked initially after reboot and paired as it should but after turning the controller off or timing out, on repairing it in does not reconnect a second time correctly.  I will take my complaints upstream.  TY!

Code: [Select]
# Enable HID protocol handling in userspace input profile
# Defaults to true (Use UHID instead of kernel HIDP)
UserspaceHID=false

editing the /etc/bluetooth/inpunt.conf and editing as shown above is the desired solution for connect/reconnect issues apparently
