Update of SDDM In Artix and Something's not Right

Hi,

Recently (a few days ago) Artix had ovverided all my themming (from grub trough sddm to wallpaper). I tried to reset sddm to how I set it up. And... got a white login screen.  Going to sddm settings in kDE and setting login background (the same as wallpaper and lock screen) did nothing. I chose background, clicked OK, typed password and tested. Nope. White screen.

I have some guesses.: "sddm-artix-style" broke it or the privilages got messed up. As far as I remember some photo types worked some didin't (the one I had previously set up and tried reinstate) did not work.

So update to artix not only had ovveriden user settings (grub, themming) but broke it on the way making user settings unrestorable.

This is not cool. You need to investigate. This bug totally reaking user settings  (overriding  them and making them not restorable) is not cool.

I went ballistic. I deleted "user file" and "old user file" from SDDM. I copied the photo to "root sddm folder", and edited the main SDDM theme file (default settings). Now my photo is the default setting. Now it works. I also rns-ed "sddm-theme-artix style". Ballistic method. Not cool, that I had to do it.

So, either "sddm-theme-artix style" messed something up or some privilages got messed up (because some photos worked, some didn't- jpg worked, but not avif 10-bit, and I am not sure about 10-bit PNG....). Either way you messed up and need to investigate.

P.S.:
After "ballistic method" now also settings of other backgrounds in SDDM via KDE GUI (as user) works. You type password and voila its set.
