Accessing DVD within handbrake running under Plasma desktop (KDE5)

I actually have two desktops installed on my system, e22 (enlightenment) and Plasma5.

Whilst running handbrake from within e22 I can access the DVD but when running handbrake from within Plasma5 I am not ablke to access the DVD.  I am stumped as to what is stopping handbrake from accessing the DVD from within Plasma5.

Can someone please give me a hint as to what to look for from withn Plasma5 to correct this issue?

I have just discovered that if I select file menu and click on the 'Open Source' option then select the drive name it will then load / scan the DVD that is in the drive.
