GRUB error on boot

Hi, after a fresh install I see a very quick error on boot menu, something like "error: file '/boot/grub/...gmo' not found", but then the GRUB menu is displayed normally and the boot process goes on. Googling around I found a workaround, copying a .mo language file from /usr/share/locale to a newly created /boot/grub/locale/ folder.
I know that it may look like nipticking, but is there a way to make the grub package create this folder by default? Is it an upstream bug?
Thanks in advance.
