Re: gnome-flashback ISO Reply #5 – 19 September 2020, 16:02:02 I see what you mean - I haven't tried it recently, but since Gnome went to the "3" series with the icons down the left side, it had a built in classic mode like Gnome 2, giving a more traditional desktop experience with less hardware requirements. The closest thing currently (although not exactly the same) would be Mate, because that's a fork of Gnome 2, and preserves the same look. XFCE is not that different either as it forked from Gnome before Mate. There used to be some config option in Gnome so you could choose whether the desktop started in regular or flashback mode, perhaps at login or in the settings. Possibly you could do this even in the live iso if you log out then back in.
