Chromium-based browsers maximized window overflow 03 November 2021, 05:37:28 Hi,On Xfce, when I maximize Chromium-based browser windows, they overflow the monitor screen. This started after an upgrade while ago. Brave, Ungoogled Chrome, Google Chrome. As I asked Chris Cromer, on Telegram, he pointed the xinerama package. But, it was already installed (libxinerama) on my machine, and re-installing it does not help.I have another machine installed Cinnamon, and it works fine. This only happens on Xfce.It is a multi-monitor setup, and I use Nvidia GPU.Thanks.
Re: Chromium-based browsers maximized window overflow Reply #1 – 03 November 2021, 08:09:14 maybe chromium removed something or started to depend on som WM feature which is not provided by XFCE?
Re: Chromium-based browsers maximized window overflow Reply #2 – 03 November 2021, 11:49:01 I just tested with the latest upgrades and ungoogled-chromium in a QEMU XFCE OpenRC guest, the window doesn't cover the entire screen, but there's a different issue. If Ungoogled Chromium was maximized the last time it was active, and then launched in XFCE, it will start maximized and correctly sized (picture 1). If, however, it is restored and then re-maximized, it won't be sized and positioned correctly (image 2). It won't cover the entire screen be much larger than the screen however. Re: Chromium-based browsers maximized window overflow Reply #6 – 07 December 2021, 14:48:08 After upgrading Chromium (and all its derivatives) to their latest versions a couple of days ago, the issue is now fixed, without any changes in XFCE settings or themes. It was either an issue with XFCE, or its plugins/dependencies, or with Chromium-based browsers which is not resolved after some updates.I'm now using:Google Chrome (google-chrome-stable --version): Google Chrome 96.0.4664.93Brave (brave --version): Brave Browser 96.1.32.113
