Artix-testing repos require Arch-testing to be enabled?

I have heard it mentioned here that one should have the Arch-testing repo enabled when running the Artix-testing repos....is this required and recommended?

No, there was one time that a pkg was missing and was not yet available that temporarily if you were in a hurry you could activate [testing] download it and deactivate it again.  Testing is the place where pkgs go before they appear in Arch [Core] and it would most likely eventually break your system.  Artix has no pacman configuration to block systemd and other associated pkgs, like libsystemd etc.  Obarun uses core and testing as it has a script within pacman blocking certain packages.  Except for obarun's main filesystem and init (S6) the rest is all Arch.  Artix is aiming to clean all arch and to have everything we need in its own repositories, as I understand it.

So don't do it.  Everything that is dangerous for Artix is within core and testing.
