kernel 5.18.8, nvidia and steam

Hi,
Today i upgraded the linux package to 5.18.8, and the nvidia driver from 515.48.07 to 515.57-2
After reboot, every thing was fine... except steam wouldn't start anymore.
I looked in the logs and found this eveytiome i launch it :

Quote
kernel: NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the version 515.48.07, but\x0aNVRM: this kernel module has the version 515.57.  Please\x0aNVRM: make sure that this kernel module and all NVIDIA driver\x0aNVRM: components have the same version.

only solution: downgrade linux kernel to 5.18.6 and nvidia to 515.48.07.
now steam starts normally.
Any idea what is the problem and how to fix it ?

Thanks :)

i think i found why :D
nvidia-utils is at version 515.57-1 but the lib32-nvidia-utils is still at 515.48.07-1
i guess i'll wait for the upgrade ;)

the other post was about the kernel and steam.  no mention of nvidia but i suspect it thanks to your diligence.

lib32-nvidia-utils is now up to date, new driver and new kernel are working fine :)
