Installing on Late 2007 Macbook

Hello!

Using the CLI instructions here, I've made an Artix bootable USB flash drive. However, though it works perfectly fine on my regular PC, it refuses to boot at all on my late 2007 Macbook. Moreover, I've managed to successfully install Ubuntu and Zorin OS on this same Macbook before which makes the situation all the more strange to me. Any potential solutions are more than welcome!

On a side note, does anyone know if this Macbook model contains Intel ME?

1- How far into the boot process do you go? past the selection menu or not even that?

2- What output do you get on the screen when the Macbook refuses to boot the ISO?

On the topic of the IME, it's probable since IME has existed on every platform from  since mid 2006.

If you are choosing the older laptop model just so to not have the IME, don't, it's a bad idea.

The flash drive does not appear at all in the selection menu.

I think lq's response has pointed me in the right direction, though. I need a 32-bit bootloader, I guess. Now I just need to figure out how to set that up. I'm a noob, sorry.

What I don't get is why Ubuntu-based systems work right off the bat. Using Ventoy allows the flash drive to be detected, but the actual Artix ISO does not start up.

Here's an update.

After a bit of digging I found out about YUMI-UEFI. However, though this approach finally allows me to boot into Artix, I cannot actually begin the installation process. After selecting "From CD/DVD/ISO: ..." and waiting several seconds, the following screen appears:
