CPU above 50% on idle and fans always running (HP + Artix qt)

Hello guys,
I've just installed Artix Community qt edition on my HP laptop (intel, 8G RAM, from 2017).
After the clean install, no software added, the fans are always running loud 100% of the time, and CPU is always above 50% on idle, the computer is always extremelly hot and battery life obviously sucks a lot.

Main processes using processor:
Kwin_X11 (20%), picom (10%), plasma-systemonitor (5%)

Can anyone help me out reducing processor / fan activity?

now this doesn't fix the issue you're having with that community edition, but, if you know what desktop you want to use then personally i'd install that (one of the stable builds) and build up what you want, rather than using a community ed. that loads more than you'll probably want in the first place.

Imho Kde plasma may be culprit
use Xfce, Imho much better

Try liquorix, eg. mine here,
Kernel: 6.0.9-lqx1-2-lqx
is likely bit efficient

cross check running it at lower or lowest fre. Hertz ? if gives help, the H/W not suitable to run customarily in high Hz

I don`t know why you use both Kwin and picom at the same time.
Kwin should also be a compositor so picom should not be required.
I would try to stop picom and see the results.
