[SOLVED] Touchpad and keyboard randomly stop working 28 July 2023, 22:17:51 I have a Gigabyte G5 KD laptop and I've noticed that on Artix, my touchpad randomly stops working. To fix this, I usually have to press `Fn+F1` which is the button to turn on/off the touchpad. Sometimes this command does nothing and I have to press `Ctrl+Alt+F6` and then go back to `F7` to get the touchpad working again. This is a really bizarre issue that I have not experienced on Arch Linux which I have previously used. I'm not really sure what other information I need to provide to figure out what is causing this issue, so feel free to ask for more information as needed. Thanks in advance for the help! [SOLVED} Touchpad and keyboard randomly stop working Reply #1 – 31 July 2023, 23:24:25 I think I found the solution here. The touchpad on this laptop indeed is an Elantech, so nano-ing the stuff in this archwiki article worked perfectly. Haven't had the issue again yet.https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Laptop#Elantech Quote Selected 1 Likes
