Feature request: Xfce ISO is too bloated

In my very humble opinion, of course.

What I would have changed (if I were an Artix dev):

- Make it more tidy and clean
- Don't do that theming stuff via dotfiles (like kde stuff and other pre-configured possible apps like pacmanfm, lxqt stuff, lxappearance... just why?) in my homedir and also in /.config/gtk-3.0/ as well as in /usr/share/gtk-2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 etc. etc. I've grown some grey hair finding out what made all the programs look like... hmm... Especially with anti-aliasing disabled (custom fonts become garbage etc.). Leave it all to the user (please !!!).
- Don't include nvidia drivers because it completely borks the live media. Use case: a legacy video card + new drivers (not supporting this card = a big oops.

What I mean in the first point is: why do I need all these in an XFCE setup:

Code: [Select]

Thank you guys in advance for this nice non-systemd alternative (and probably the best one out there).

When I started with Artix-Xfce-Runit 2020 the ISO was less than 1 GiB: Even not cups was preinstalled.

That was great!

Last year it still was 1,2 GiB, but that it suddenly grows up to 1,9 GiB: Why?

Please make it slim and efficient again.

Like my Father liked to say: What you don't have, doesn't make any trouble.

I personally don't care about the size nowadays, since some software can be space consuming (gnome, kde, browsers etc.). I care a lot more about the system's cleanliness and tidiness. And yes, when you boot an ISO, it actually boots and you don't have to google the answer how to disable modesetting and stuff.
