Peertube looks like good alternative to Youtube.

For example: Blender is using Peertube because Youtube blocked Blender videos for some time.

We are sorry but it seems that PeerTube is not compatible with your web browser.

Please try with the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

If you think this is a mistake, do not hesitate to report it.

pffts.  What a way to say I love you - No I won;t use firefox because it requires pulseaudio and I won't use pulseaudio.....

Working on Pale Moon including audio without pulseaudio, e.g.:

It was slow to load but then so was Youtube at this moment, so that is probably my net connection here.

I posted in the other thread an easy way to get Firefox (& other app's that need pulseaudio) to work happily without PA.

Beyond that, I'm very happy to hear about Blender vid's being available on PeerTube. :)

I don't think I want to do that.  I don't want to use pulse audio and I don't need a wrapper for pulse audio and projects that insist that I use pulse audio or trick it into thinking I am using it with a wrapper is not the kind of place that wants my business.

---Actually I am running firefox-esr without pulse or even libpulse  and it is giving me sound and it works with blenders videos.  Why does it matter then?  Whatever.  I have less and less patients for these desktop requirments and oddities.  If they can't make it work with nearly any browser then why bother?

And if you are going to create something that doesn't use youtube, but you are loading it with a bunch of SOS with Angular...  then you are really just chasing your tail.

This works... get your own webserver and a static IP address
