really enjoying OpenRC on Artix!

I've been really enjoying OpenRC on Artix & am wondering how other Artix users like runit or the other init systems available.

I have been using Artix XFCE OpenRC (for CAD and multimedia) without problems since 2019 on different PCs.
And without pulseaudio (only alsa).

I was on openrc for a couple of years, then I tried dinit when it came out and have stuck with that ever since, I have nothing against openrc though, an excellent init, just that dinit was insanely fast to boot and easy to understand.

Linux is all about choice and Artix has a choice of FOUR different inits, so there should be one for everyone there!

Welcome! I am a new user of Artix and it is really making a great impression! So far I have used everything on systemd. I had no idea that there was an Arch based on a different init. Excellent! I hope I found what I was looking for. Greetings from Poland!

I too, am enjoying using Artix/OpenRC. Today is my first day using it via the migration steps from Arch.
I opted to move this way due to the recent news (and perhaps eventual move) of sudo being removed in favor of using systemd.

I'm not a fan of nor dislike systemd, but feel this is the last straw for me since I was using *BSD back in the days when Xfree86 was a thing so I have seen a few changes over time. I'm certainly not a fan of Wayland either so it will be interesting to see where that goes.

I would like to suggest a small modification to the migration doc.
In the Remove Systemd section, I would suggest removing the following statement:

rm -fv /etc/resolv.conf

Since the next section (Install your chosen init) may require resolving, as it did me, lol
Anyways, I'm running this migrated install now and eventually I'll perform a nuke n pave in favor of a fresh install.

Keep up the great work devs!
