Osmo refuses to launch after logout/reboot - [SOLVED]

Well I thought this was going to be painless  operation with OSMO application. After a fresh install of and first run of Osmo  everything was normal - - I inputted all data records into the program.
Then after quitting Osmo and restarting computer it refuses to start normally.

I get this when typing osmo into terminal:
"Another copy of OSMO is already running. Simultaneously use two or more copies of OSMO can be a cause of data loss.
Do you really want to continue?"

When I check "/usr/share/applications/osmo"
OSMO PROPERTIES
Owner:   root-
Access:  Read and Write

Group:  root
Access:  Read only

Access:  Read only

Execute:  (box is unchecked) - Allow executing file as program

You are not the owner, so you cannot change these properties

Okay I'm getting somewhere, somehow . . .

Was just searching scrapping the web for answers.
Discovered an answer on Linux Mint forum.

I have Mint XFCE 2.6.32-21 generic as my distro.I have faced similar problems with OSMO which had to be surmounted..As gui wasn't of help used terminal with an abridged # osmo -c output (MAN OSMO) which does not "run off the screen".Sought
http:// sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_ID=206587 to get a work around viz. # LC_ALL=C osmo the problem is almost solved but OSMO keeps vanishing when accessed via GUI.This geriatric too feels" half a loaf is better than none"

So I can now launch Osmo with "osmo -c output" - - But it only displays Calendar function and I require the Tasks function of Osmo.
Further experimentation required dudes

SOLUTION

If anybody is interested the real solution ended up being very simple.
Upon first launch/start of Osmo after new install when Osmo-GUI is present ----> Do the following config change in General Preferences:
Uncheck/disable "Enable System Tray" checkbox.

After this procedure  Osmo application operates normally  ::)
