System possibly not sleeping 25 April 2024, 01:28:56 There was the recent elogind bug, that made networkmanager not wake up and stay inactive, when waking from sleep. And now a new version of elogind got pushed 255.4.2. I have upgraded, and with this version it seems the system does not sleep at all. This is visible from the led not turning into breath mode, which is said to be a hardware feature, and the fan not stopping spinning. I have tested this on 2 very different machines (13 years old asus k53e laptop, recently bought gole 2 pro touch device), both with openrc kde version and up to date packages.Reverting again to a version prior to 252.23 (252.9 for me) solves both networkmanager not waking up and system not sleepinghttps://github.com/elogind/elogind/issues/280This bug seems to indicate that the default got changed from deep sleep to s2idle and it needs to be edited back, for actual sleep 2 Likes
Re: System possibly not sleeping Reply #1 – 25 April 2024, 02:42:11 Confirmed that the fix in the issue solves it, and the networkmanager bug also got solved in the most recent release. But i think this could be handled by artix, if elogind does not do it, after all it is systemd, that removed the config

Re: System possibly not sleeping Reply #3 – 25 April 2024, 13:20:32 Suspends to s2idle, or deep sleep?
