HELP! Is my SSD dead?

I have gotten bad superblock errors on this device. I attempted fsck with a backup superblock but it said there were input/output errors when trying to recover from the journal. I haven't gotten s.m.a.r.t. info because I am connecting it through a usb and smartctl doesn't seem to have a type that works with this particular product.

I can't seem to mount the drive at all.

Attached is the dmesg output after running fsck

Wow, that's... a lot of I/O errors.
What's the output when you try mounting?
Why doesn't smarctl work? What's the model of your SSD and what's the output of smartcl?
Have you checked if the disk is connected properly? No loose cables?
If the connection is alright, then it's probably a hardware error. Even if you manage to make it work somehow, I'd recommend against using this drive. If you have a backup, it's time to restore the data to a different one.

Always make backups! ;)

Testdisk / photorec might help, also you want to start by cloning a copy of the drive and working on that, because your attempts at recovery might make things worse or the drive might become more faulty with time and use:
https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk_doc/ddrescue.html
If you can't get anything from it you could try putting it in a different external enclosure?
There are usually filesystem repair tools to go with most common filesystems. Sounds like you already have started looking at them and smartmontools, hdparm has some hard drive related  things too I think.

I might add that, assuming the data in there is not important (then send it right away for recovery), and assuming you already made a copy of what's already there (using what the colleagues mentioned), you can then try at home the gpu recovery methods: heat the board with hair dryer, or place the board in the freezer for a while, a combination of both while cleaning with a solvent, etc.
