Some lxqt functions don't work - network manager

Hi.
Similar to the other(?):
When I try to execute a function (say, activate a connection) from lxqt's network manager icon,
it pops up a window indicating
...failed
(1) Not authorized to control networking.
And in /var/log/everything.log something like this appears:
Nov 23 09:26:00 laca-pici NetworkManager[1918]: <info> [1542961560.7859] audit: op="connection-activate" uuid="dfebb740-36e2-33d2-8f66-b8cad9eab3de" name="Wired connection 1" pid=2595 uid=1000 result="fail" reason="Not authorized to control networking."
What is missing?

You most definitely did not add elogind to the boot runlevel.
