Which mirror are you using? It seems outdated.

Default mirrors. I did not change anything in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.
Thanks for the input. I did "rankmirrors -v -n 5 /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist" and add the resulting five mirrors on top of mirrorlist then update the system. Now everything back to normal.
