dkms 'CLEAN' deprecated

A recent update of dkms warns that my dkms.conf CLEAN line is deprecated.

The Arch wikiarticle has a dkms.conf which still has CLEAN.

Should I just remove the CLEAN line or will that be wrong for older dkms?
