Looks fascinating but having strong magnetic field and source of heat inside closed wooden frame isn't something I would try. Maybe add few vials of gasoline inside too.

Electromagnetic fields exist around you anyway, especially under or near power lines:

Strong fields can be harmful, powerful marine radar transmitters for example can be dangerous if approached too closely apparently, and are recommended to be mounted on a mast well above head height.

if it wasn't harmful, they wouldnt be trying it?

I'm actually baffled that nobody, NONE of the PSU manufacturers have tried to even experiment with integrating a battery setup directly into the ATX PSUs for mobile applications just like this or for better integration with solar panels. Typical PC has around 600-800W, so a 12V line would need 50-65A, right now we have powertools using swappable batteries capable of exactly such loads, and also remember that we don't need expensive and huge inverters like with UPSes, just DC-to-DC with protections and BMS for battery. Of course it'd cost 2 or 3 times as much as normal PSU, but this solve a problem for specific niche that should be explored.

Electromagnetic fields surround you constantly, and they are not harmful unless the energy levels are high enough, just like light, sound or heat for example which are also forms of energy. Crystal radios are a demonstration of how a small antenna will collect enough electrical energy to run a low powered device:

be sure to make one for yourself then and use a petroleum based wood stain like used motor oil mixed with diesel fuel?
