Cloudflare

I am curious but why is Artix Linux using Cloudflare? In my opinion Cloudflare is an even worse cancer then systemd...

I found this line on the artixlinux.org website, which looks like a tracker that is responsible for collecting performance and security metrics:
https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js/vcd15cbe7772f49c399c6a5babf22c1241717689176015

Maybe I am missing something? Can someone explain the reasoning behind this decision?

Thank you!

I don't disagree. But if you block third party javascript cloudflare get nothing.

We only use Cloudflare to mitigate potential abuse and to hide some IPs. We don't use big-tech 3rd-party trackers anywhere and our site pages are hand-written. Some software (e.g. Elkarte for the forum or pmwiki for the wiki) may use custom fonts which are downloaded off-site. I know some purists won't like it, but compromises had to be made.
