Nvidia firmware conflict? misconfig of update files?

When I did my system upgrade it failed with the message:
Code: [Select]
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
linux-firmware-nvidia: /usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad103 exists in filesystem
linux-firmware-nvidia: /usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad104 exists in filesystem
linux-firmware-nvidia: /usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad106 exists in filesystem
linux-firmware-nvidia: /usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad107 exists in filesystem

At first, I figured it had something to do with package restructuring of the drivers, so uninstalled my Nvidia drivers, but that didn't change anything.

So I did the hacky thing and removed the offending files.
When I did the system upgrade, it gave me this warning:
Code: [Select]
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad103/
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad103/gsp
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad104/
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad104/gsp
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad106/
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad106/gsp
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad107/
warning: could not get file information for usr/lib/firmware/nvidia/ad107/gsp
But the upgrade went through.

The I moved the files back into their former place because the upgrade added none of them back.

I hope I didn't just shoot my system, but that's what Timeshift is for :Ü™
