Floorp repository seems to be unavailable 25 August 2025, 23:09:24 Hello, I'm new to Artix, but I've been an Arch user for some time, so I understand that when venturing outside of the official repos things get very DIY. I imagine this to be even more true for Artix which is an even more advanced distribution. I have the omniverse repositories enabled to get some more niche packages. I was going to install Floorp as a browser to use for websites that break when I try to access them through Librewolf with all of my customizations to it's rendering. However, it seems that the Floorp package itself is currently inaccessible. I could just go get it from the AUR, but I'd like to try to get the Artix specific build first. pacman exits the attempt with the following output:resolving dependencies...looking for conflicting packages...Package (1) New Version Net Change Download Sizeomniverse/floorp 11.12.2-1 248.56 MiB 81.92 MiBTotal Download Size: 81.92 MiBTotal Installed Size: 248.56 MiB:: Proceed with installation? Lines with personally identifiable information omitted. Is there something up upstream or do I have something misconfigured? I have been able to install from omniverse before, Betterbird and ungoogled Chromium specifically. I'm sure that it doesn't really matter, but I'm using Artix with s6, MATE, and Xlibre on a wired connection. Thanks Quote Selected
Re: Floorp repository seems to be unavailable Reply #1 – 26 August 2025, 00:19:42 When I did the same it did indeed come up as if it were ready to install..... However, if you check the Omniverse dir listing at artix.sakamoto.pl, you'll see that floorp isn't in there. Don't know why or what's happening. Hopefully someone will have an answer. In the meantime, if it's of any use, it is available as a Floorp AppImage Quote Selected 1 Likes

Re: Floorp repository seems to be unavailable Reply #3 – 26 August 2025, 10:00:05 floorp has indeed been in the omniverse repo but was removed after the team behind it announced to introduce monetizing features. The remnant entry in the repo db has now been removed. As an alternative, actually two, waterfox was added to galaxy and zen-browser to omniverseartist Quote Selected 3 Likes
