Re: Installation failed... Reply #3 – 28 November 2017, 11:24:46 I did reproduce the error using the greek locale; however, using the default english one worked. So, you can complete the installation in english and change the locale after first boot.

There may be problems but that's expected from relatively new distros, imhoThe nice thing about it is that this is the first time i got from console to full X, installing things manually! So thumbs up for artix!RegardsSpirosYou can't really count Devian its using Debians outdated non systemd core from 2 realises back and will for a long time to come, Try MX Linux uses upto date Debian 9.2 repros, using Vinint that is the nearest you to up to date with Debian

Debian Jessie was stable till May-17Devuan Ascii which is also very stable and complete is the same as Stretch. So it is not 2 releases back. Devuan ceres which is like one release ahead of buster also worked well. The substitute of the modified udev, eudev, has been running for months w/o a hickup. OpenRC seems to be functional as well.On the other hand the MX/antix approach to being systemd-free is not as clean as Devuan's approach. Different animals. Devuan may have inherited some Debian conservativism but when they formally announced Devuan 1.0 it had been running for a couple of years.

Is artix 100% systemd free no its not. Is obarun nearly no thanks to Arch needlessly using systemd deps and not announcing them in pkgbuilds so yes its a struggle, does Debian do the same who knows?Don't get me wrong not putting devuan down but they in house fight to much and are dictatorial, that does not work.Mx is 100% community that does work since about 2010 I think when Mepis ceased due to ill health and old age.
