Why is the verification for creating an account such a pain?

This is basically me just complaining about how hard it was just to make an account here, although I will be asking for help on specific things here in a little bit, since I am using Artix on a ThinkPad, and have been for about 2 and a half months.

I tried several times to fill out the verification questions, and it was saying that I was getting either the letters inclusive or the questions wrong.

I think I know now which questions I got wrong.

One of the ones was the question asking what the default init system of Artix is. Since I heard that Artix came from something called Arch-OpenRC, I figured that the answer was OpenRC. But after a quick search, I found out it's actually runit, and was a bit surprised. Maybe I didn't know what they meant by "default" in this case, since afaik, you have to choose the ISO you want to install, and there's ISOs with different init systems on the Downloads page. How bad is it that I didn't not already know this?

But here's the one I had more of a problem with: the one asking what my favorite color was. I said "spring green" first, and then changed to "cerulean" later (both colors I like), but apparently they wanted something less specific, like "green" or "blue"? Like am I not allowed to be specific? Why should I not allowed to get through with answering with a hex value color or a Pantone color?

Must be a new thing? I don't remember this.

But AFAIK there is no default init ? So strange question.
And the rest of it would grate with me too.
Sick to death of all sort of capcha's. That the bots are better at than the humans I've heard.

Be grateful you got the verification email at least. Unless resolved some people don't due to the scam blacklist uclprotect, and have to go on IRC to get their accounts verified.

Biggest trouble I had was using an unsupported browser like gnome browser, Which came as default with artix mate desktop.

This is a Monty Python reference, all (or most) answers are correct unless your colour gamut is extremely sophisticated.

Hah, looking at the valid answers for the init system, I think at least "s66" should be replaced with "66" there. Artix uses "suite66" only as a moniker for package names because of specific reasons, but "s66" isn't used anywhere and is easy to confuse with "s6". The official name by skarnet is "66".

This is a Monty Python reference, ...
If this is a reference to Monty Python, then there is also only one correct number as an answer.

As a hint: four is completely wrong.  ;)

Artix USE="runit openrc slim openbox lxde gtk2 qt4 qt5 qt6 conky
-gtk3 -gtk4 -adwaita{cursors,themes,icons} -gnome3 -kde -plasma -wayland "

I notice that in the picture, for the default init system answers, that any of the init systems would be seen as correct, but I notice all of the answers are lowercase. I typed "OpenRC" with the capital letters when I answered, but did I need to answer in no caps? If so, then why is it even case sensitive???? It shouldn't be! OpenRC, when properly typed, has capital letters, and anyone who types it that way would get it wrong in that case.

I never thought of that actually, I believe the forum software won't accept a wrong-case answer.

That too.
