gcr-3.41.1-2 and gcr-4-4.0.0-1 both offer /usr/lib/gcr-ssh-agent conflict

Dear Artixers,

I'm having trouble doing a pckage update today.

Code: [Select]
erro: falha ao efetuar a transação (arquivos conflitantes)
/usr/lib/gcr-ssh-agent existe tanto em "gcr" como em "gcr-4"

both gcr and gcr-4 have gcr-ssh-agent. I tried uninstalling gcr and installing it individually but it didn't work.
Let me know if you have any ideas,
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion.

Currently I don't have gcr-4 installed. But when I try to do an update with
Code: [Select]
pacman -Syu
gcr-4 is on the list to be installed, so I think something new requires gcr-4 but other installed stuff require gcr(3.41) only.

**Edit**
It's the new gnome-shell 43.0-2, it requires gcr-4

I don't know gnome anymore since they moved to version 3 and left us on the side of the road with our version 2 that we liked.
But maybe a next update will fix your problem, it happens sometimes.

I pass the baton to the experts.

I could get a working gnome session after uninstalling the whole gnome environment, removing world repositories and then installing gnome again. Apparently gnome-settings-daemon offered by world is older than extra and trying to install gcr and gcr-4 together doesnt work.

I won't mark the issue as solved yet, because whenever booting up I get a gnome-session-failed window, which I can ignore. But don't know if the current system I have is stable.

It is far better to install packages from the Artix repositories !
As you probably know, it's not without reason that in /etc/pacman.conf the extra and community repositories come last:

yea, I'm getting the same on a couple of machines (plasma/Cin - "gcr-4: /usr/lib/gcr-ssh-agent exists in filesystem (owned by gcr)") too, and i don't have the Arch repo's in pacman.conf (I use one package from Arch which is Kaffeine, downloaded from mirror and installed locally).   No biggy and shall wait a day or so and see what the Artix wizards come up with!

Same issue here. Hope it gets fixed soon :)

Someone had apparently moved gcr-4 from testing to stable but not gcr. I just moved the testing version of gcr to stable which has no conflicts, so on the next mirror/sync upgrade it should be fine again.
