so ive been trying to update my artix mirror list for a few days now, and havent been able to connect to
https://gitea.artixlinux.org/packagesA/artix-mirrorlist/src/branch/master/trunk/mirrorlist
to get the mirrorlist..

the ones i have still work but are pretty slow. was wondering if there was any other place to update them.

Reinstall the artix-mirrorlist package from your package cache.

also try "rankmirrors" package.
it's purpose is finding faster mirrors for you.

reinstalled it but didnt seem to have a new mirror list
