sudo pacman -Syyu error

I enter the sudo pacman -Syyu command to update but it tells me:

 there is nothing to do

since this warning showed up (yesterday afternoon) libreoffice and librewolf have stopped working properly on my computer

when I launch any pdf or txt file with any libreoffice program it tells me:
General Error
General Input/Output error

and when I try to search something up using libreoffice it shows me the usual
Sorry! we didn't find any results. Please use another query or search in more categories.
which is usually fixed by updating, but here it's just broken no matter how much I restart my computer or try to search again

Please help, I urgently need libreoffice for work, thanks in advance

When was the last time you ran an update?
Unfortunately that was a bad time to update as Artix is following suit with the big repo changes in Arch so it will take a bit longer than in their case.
Even though this is a rolling distro you shouldn't update very oftenly, especially if you've followed recent news.

Regarding your issue: If you have libreoffice-still, try replacing it with libreoffice-fresh.

I've had this warning for a few days as well, I'm not sure the connman-gtk package is directly related to libreoffice. However... I tried to open a pdf with LibreOffice Draw (from libreoffice-fresh) and I get the same error. Opening the pdf from the command line didn't produce any additional errors, and --safe-mode had the same result. Running with --backtrace didn't provide any obvious hints either, but I'll paste the output in case I'm missing something.

@Hitman I'm subscribed to both Arch and Artix announcements and I don't recall anything about making sure to avoid updates? It's not like I memorize every email so it's entirely possible I missed it... Arch is just usually very explicit about what the user should and shouldn't do after a big change. There have been no recent announcements from Artix so I certainly didn't see anything about rolling back connman-gtk in Universe. I agree one should follow the news, but in this case there was no news from Artix that would have led me to predict there would an issue with updating.

connman-gtk was removed from Arch repos (Artix too) and dropped to the AUR. Before the drop it was bumped to -3 while in [universe] stayed at -2.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware. Manually downgraded to the AUR version and set connman-gtk to ignored in pacman.conf - warning is gone and I was able to pull a kernel update afterward (which may have been coincidence if linux-zen was also updated today was definitely coincidence after testing on another machine). I'd like to note that mirrors are somehow now showing the *-3 gtk package, still in Universe, although I understand you may not have direct control over what they do.

In any case, the issue with libreoffice persists unfortunately.

Last time I ran an update it was 4 days (if i remember correctly, which is probably not the case) before this error started appearing

I do have libreoffice-fresh installed but it still doesn't work

how do I set connman-gtk to ignored and downgrade the version could you tell me please
also how do I open a libreoffice pdf using the command line, sorry if this is a dumb question i just can't search it up on internet as searx doesn't work

Now that universe has been bumped to 1.1.1-3 the error should go away. It occurred to me that nous probably updated it today so you can pretty much ignore that comment.

For libreoffice, "libreoffice --draw /path/to/some.pdf"

Also "libreoffice --help" and "man libreoffice" for more options.

thanks, but how do I do spaces in the pdf name, the --draw command doesn't seem to find anything

Yep either escape with backslashes or put it inside quotes
