hero games launcher for epic games on linux

anyone has this working on artix?  i have tried repeatedly to install eso through epic games through hero games launcher bin from the aur.  this is what i get:

and so the problem is two fold because the support for hero games launcher bin is found on discord and i am just not ever signing up for discord.

my guess is it's dependent on systemd

While I never used it  and also cannot rule out your systemd theory, the actual error is spelled out quite clearly.
Either the wrong path,no path or a non existent path is being provided to 'user.reg'.

Seems the exact same error occurs when the wine prefix hasn't been created.

On the subject of libs links to systemd there is a non -bin version on the aur maybe try that instead?
If you do remove the bin one first as the PKGBUILD does not contain a 'conflicts' entry.

Last but not least I'd prefer Lutris over Heroic because it isn't an Electron app. And I don't like those.

heroic-games-launcher-bin has been working fine for me. I don't believe there has ever been a systemd dependency.

and so i saw it was copying the files from steam so i manually copied them then got these errors:

so then i launched steam and then got these errors from epic:

and so the rabbit hole gets deeper and deeper.  i done see anything about this heroic games launcher that provides easy play on linux.  i tried rare too and had similar results.  it's in the aur.  but rare-bin is not the same program as rare... 2 diff things.  i have eso installed on my widow drive and tried to import it from where it's installed from epic on my windows drive  but nothing works.

if tiny 11 (stripped down version of windows 11) didn't crash at random times for no apparent reason i think i'd keep it because  the effort to find something in linux to replace epic games is very much a time sucker at this point.

when i try to login to the epic games store in lutris the popup that asks for my deets locks up and does nothing else

Epic offered it free in july which is why i have it.   Often goes on sale for 5.99.   I have quit and gave away my accounts only to start over some time later with new ones.

Darn, I must have missed it. I'll get it next time it comes around. I use my friend's project to grab the free games and now I've got it properly configured.

Also if you've ever wondered why Epic Games has so many captchas... this project is probably to blame. Oops.
