New to this forum, but been using Artix on one of my systems for over a year now. I enjoy Arch-based Linux distros and been enjoying Artix a lot. I have not tried Artix on a server yet, but wondering what other users experiences are with that.

Hello, Everyone.  I am brand new to linux.  You seemed like the coolest kids on the block so I've decided to join your lot.  Still deciding on a desktop environment I like but Artix is beautiful so far.  Running like a champ. Current preference is KDE>Cinn>Mate>others.  Been test driving. I'll probably have a ton of questions I'll ask after a few search attempts.  Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi there,

Back to try Artix for the second time on a quest to gain a meaningful comprehension of the init function in Linux & get away from sudo, I'm still a wee bit wet around the ears without sysd so time will tell how this attempt fares.

I have used OpenRC and XFCE without problems since 2018 on different PCs.

 I'm a long time Linux veteran of 23 + years going all of the way back to when RHEL was Still known as Red Hat Linux and I hadn't heard of Arch. In those days I would distro hop between early Ubuntu and Debian.

Hi, but only one little thing, early Ubuntu was 18 years ago, and early Arch was 20, you must have refered to Slackware or the like :)

Ubuntu is 20 years old already?  ech.

I remember the first time I PURCHASED linux was from Wallnut Creek, Slackware 3.1
I liked it.
