[SOLVED] no more full screen with mpv player

Hello,

A fews days ago, kde 5 has been upgraded to kde6
Since that day, when i play a video with the mpv player, it can not play it in full screen, whatever the video. (mp4, avi, mkv..)
i can type the F key, or use mpv --fs video_file.mp4, it will still display the video in a window.
i've tried creating an other user, changing themes... but nothing works.
The full screen worked perfectly before the upgrade to plasma 6.
Any idea ?

edit: for now, i can play full screen videos with VLC. so it seems the issue is specific to mpv

I have this problem too, thought it's because of me experimenting with seatd. :)
Some videos do occasionally come in fullscreen, but they seem to be of random criteria so nothing to pinpoint it on (maybe it's 50/60 fps videos, just maybe).

I am on amdgpu if that matters.

mpv debug log seems to show nothing of interest

Workaround

You can get to that dialog by right clicking on the titlebar, amongst other ways

... so it seems the issue is specific to mpv

That is an outrageous lie.

@lq specific to mpv with* kwin as a window manager, something that i overlooked too which seems to indeed be the case here. :)

it's not a lie nor outrageous, please be nicer.

If we are using the word lie in its verb form of 'speak falsely' then it is only a 'lie' if the speaker knows beforehand that it is a false position.
Otherwise, if untrue, it could be a misconception, an error, a misunderstanding, a delusion, or simply put, a mistake. But not a lie.
I'm not in anyway suggesting that it was indeed even a mistake? Your exclamation was too terse for anyone to be confident what it was which caused you to have issue with the original statement?

As @Dju qualified the statement with 'it seems', to use the word lie is already a questionable choice of wording but to compound it with 'outrageous' shows a very poor understanding of the English language. Of course I recognise the fact that English is a language you are still learning.
I'll offer some help.
RTFM

The inconvenience described by the @Dju has nothing to do with package management or mpv.
Consequently, instead of pissing me off and reprimanding me, it would be your task to at least adapt the thread title accordingly to e.g: KDE,kwin: no more full screen with mpv player

And because this is a GNU-Linux and not a ‘language course for English’ forum, my esteemed friend @gripped involuntarily outed himself (because of your laziness) not only as a fool but also as a troll.  ;)

I make myself indeed guilty of the sin of laziness among others that are of course only told in front of a priest not some random bitter guy on the internet.
