Using the aur and chaotic-aur repository 22 April 2024, 21:44:43 Hello all! I think this topic is suitable for offtopic, if the author has not much technical experience in the zones he wants to address here. I tried to install yay. It turned out that make and gcc and fakeroot are missing. Ok now everything works, but are you sure this is the right way in Artix? In a couple of reviews a long time ago, I found out that the packages compacted here, are staggered. However, checking a few, I did not find that. Are there really packages that don't keep up with Arch?
Re: Using the aur and chaotic-aur repository Reply #1 – 22 April 2024, 23:09:49 you needed the meta package base-devel and add to that git as it's not in base-devel but often required to get the sources. 1 Likes

Re: Using the aur and chaotic-aur repository Reply #4 – 23 April 2024, 17:17:05 Hello! We did not understand each other very well. I installed everything I needed and got the ability to build from aur. My point was whether it doesn't conflict somehow with the system. I apologize for my not the best English, supported by a translator unfortunately 1 Likes

I apologize for my not the best English, supported by a translator unfortunately At least you understood that AUR means package building.Apart from that, if you don't like the translator, I would (if I were you) ask the ForumMods for a sub-forum in your native language.

I think I understood that other French speakers do the same as me. Last Edit: 25 April 2024, 10:17:28 by tintin 1 Likes
