why was update-grub removed?

yes i know its just a wrapper for the command but it sure is nice to have

It was part of the grub package, as observed above, I  don't know why it has gone either. It was specially added to the Artix package, but wasn't in the Arch one, it was a non-standard element, because of frequent forum requests. After seeing this post and before updating grub, I ran

# cp /usr/bin/update-grub /usr/local/bin
which is going back to my personal solution before update-grub was introduced.
