Only six word to propose a change/addition to the Artix forum?
Is this post related to https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,7598.0.html ?
Pls clarify what the Artix community would benefit from, and why it would.

Linux is simple; use Artix, or Submit Your System To Evil Malicious D(a)emons

Well, if this thread is meant to be a collection of suggestions for guides and such, then I'll provide first one - "How to properly setup Rootless Xorg?" - This one would is particularly tricky on Arch due it being a moving target + there is quite a lot of stuff that's incompatible, afaik only SDDM works with most DEs this way, GDM has problems with it when it comes to non-GNOME environments. When it comes to this there's a guide on Manjaro forums, but this is mostly useless crap!. /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc file is provided by xorg-xinit, which as far as xorg is concerned could be uninstalled and shit will still work fine! All of those listed parameters in xserverrc are passed down by SDDM separately from it's own configuration which is in /etc/sddm.conf, at X11 key with parameter being "ServerArguments". What's also important to note is that there are bugs somewhere which prevents SDDM from acquiring proper permission to change the tty, so you need to make sure you're not running anything that takes control of tty1 (like agetty). So... Yeah, there's a lot to unpack, and those are ONLY my experiences. I'd like to hear about yours, but nope, I don't want to hear anything about wayland. I like my stuff to work without humiliation rituals.

I think that is already in the wiki?
A major advantage of TuiGreet / Greetd is that it starts Xorg as the login user, not as root

In the wiki, perhaps, that should probably be separate entry? It seems not a specific moksha thing? But I don't know.
But where would one discuss that?

Only six word to propose a change/addition to the Artix forum?
To introduce a discussion, yes? How many words would you like?
I had read several old posts of suggestions for the wiki, and things that needed/wanted/suggested be changed. I intended to offer, in that thread, that I was volunteering to do those changes if some one made a request.
Pls clarify what the Artix community would benefit from, and why it would.

I am not sure it would, but I think it might.
For example across various places in the forum I noted questions and thoughts about the wiki. These do not have an obvious place to be put, it is hard to find and engage them.
Even just asking a question about adding it had a spontaneous wiki related response. Is that interesting?

I think Arch is famous for it's wiki, and Artix users, perhaps, are more willing to engage a wiki. A specific forum would give them a place to focus discussions.

I think our wiki could be better. I think we should encourage users to find answers in the wiki, and add modify it to be better.
In order to do that we need an ability to capture thoughts about the wiki. I think a dedicated section would help that.

But I really just wanted to start a discussion. If very few, or no one else, thinks it has value, then it might not be worth a few minutes to set it up. If you want a volunteer to... whatever... I will be the victim.

I have specific things about the Wiki I would like to discuss, and if there is no real section, perhaps I'll just ask them here?

I think the wiki of Artix Linux should cover different init systems a lot more than it currently does. In the past, I had several issues with OpenRC and I spent a lot of time in other distro's wiki to solve my issues. Sometimes, the differences between other distros, like Arch, and Artix make it a little hard to fix different issues. I think the current Artix Linux wiki has a lot of potential for being expanded to cover more stuff about different init systems. I think having a new wiki section in the forum can help the community discuss the addition of new stuff to the wiki.
