downloading nitrogen gives 404 error

hey

i get error like this while trying to download nitrogen

nitrogen is package from Arch extra.
this looks like error on your side, you probably have outdated package database.
run

pacman -Sy
or
Code: [Select]
pacman -Syy
to update it.

For the future it is best to always try to update database when installing new packages.
to do that you can attach y option to install command, example:

yeah i'm aware of this
but it's weird cuz it seems like pacman -Syy will download all packages but not gonna install them

  :o i think i may have installed something that did mess out there but im not sure
thanks for replying and sorry for writing on this forum about such a silly things like this.

there are also two more things. octopi started to behave weird it wont ask me for password anymore and says i need kdesu or gksu front end or something
also for some reason trackpad in my laptop doesnt wanna do a thing :P

OK, erroring package "glibmm" with version "2.56", the version in Arch is already "2.58"
It was updated a day ago, see: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/glibmm/

As I said this problem is caused by mirrors, try to switch arch mirrors or wait some time for mirror to update.
Or go and report this to arch or mirror admin.

I believe that the mirror from which you download package database is little out of date.

You can find arch mirrorlist in "/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist-arch"

pacman -Sy doesn't download or install/upgrade any packages, it only updates your database.  If you want to install glibmm this is what you have to do.
