[SOLVED] Lightdm Doesn't work

So I don't remember what I did to get into this place but when I turn on my pc it stays on tty1 instead of going to tty7 after it loads everything up like normal. This I'm not sure about but I can't sign into my user account but I could also be mistyping my password. I also can't sign in my root some times. I going to retry typing my password again on both so I'll be back to report it. my pc is also encrypted.

did you change your DM per chance to lightdm from, say, sddm or another?   Seems to be be reminiscent of the same message when i did that quite a while back.  If not, might be a good idea to keep an idea on the other post by whathappened, as that's lightdm related as well. (I also use lightdm, but am free from issue btw)

No I did not. I just right now reinstalled artix openrc xfce on my pc again and after install mpv neovim git wget base-devel yay docker docker-compose docker-openrc ufw ufw-openrc qbittorent and moving some folders from my home dir like .local .config. I rebooted my pc and it did the samething. Were can I find my startup log file? I think something failed so I want to look into but it goes to fast when I boot up.
I going to test somethings later today.

I think he meant restoring his backup.

~30 ish less MB of memory usage and loading a bit quicker on legacy machines, i use it on my t400 for this reason, sddm is fully graphical so imo reserved for a bit newer stuff.

well, like to think so, but as this was a new install and the line says "moving some folders from my home dir like .local .config" rather than "to" or "restoring to".    Hopefully it's just an oversight!
